Road Safety
As we have been seing in the different entries,
geometry is a theme that can be worked properly in a transdisciplinary way with
all our students.
In this new entry, and as a new suggestion on
how to work, I invite you to think off Geometry and the relation with the ROAD SAFETY.
We can work in an inductive way, cause this theme allow us to transmit the
information to the students working with the VISUAL THINKING,
an strategy I totally recommend you to use with your students, who will be
totally able to interiorize it.
ACTIVITY PROPOSAL:
As I have
stated before, try to make students think. Show them this picture and ask them
where are there geometrical figures, and what they think each piece
represents.
Which
polygons can you see on the picture?
After doing
that, we can provide them with tools such as this chart that will make them
establish relations between the geometrical figures and their meaning in road
safety.
